    POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director (ED) is the leader for hospice and palliative care operations in her/his service area, with total accountability for successfully implementing, achieving and sustaining the Capital Caring mission, strategic plan and quality outcomes. The ED leads by exuding the Capital Caring Core Values and inspires and motivates all staff to be world class.


    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field preferred.


    EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years experience in healthcare, with three years managerial/administrative experience required.  Knowledge and experience in healthcare management, finance and interpersonal relations.  Knowledge of current CHAP accreditation program.  Hospice and palliative care experience strongly preferred.
