Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supplements the nursing care of the patient as provided by the Registered Nurse (RN) and as specified in the patient's plan of care. The Hospice LPN provides nursing care as well as patient/family education and documentation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN assists the physician or RN in performing specialized duties or procedures in relation to end of life care.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides the necessary treatments, education, and documentation consistent with the patient's plan of care. May be asked to rotate to other regions/departments.
Experience Requirements
Must have one year of recent nursing experience. Experience in home care nursing and working with the terminally ill patients and their families is preferred.
Education Requirements
Must have a degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Required Certificates and/or Licenses
Must have licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia. Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A CHLPN certification is a plus.
Driver's License
Must have a driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
