Overview

The Clinical Manager - Admisstions is an adventurous, creative, confident and inspiring leader of a high performing Admission Team. The Clinical Manager – Admissions will provide daily direct leadership, guidance, and inspiration for Admission RNs and professionals.

 

Location: Falls Church, VA

 

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00a-5:00p

Responsibilities

The Clinical Manager - Admissions is an adventurous, creative, confident and inspiring leader of a high performing Admission Team. The Clinical Manager – Admissions will provide daily direct leadership, guidance, and inspiration for Admission RNs and professionals. This role will ensure admission visit goals are met, track daily admission visit outcomes and monitor individual and department performance through quality measures and conversion metrics. The Clinical Manager – Admissions will work with the Admission Director on process improvements, team assessments and ongoing education/training program. The Clinical Manager -  Admissions will work closely with clinical leadership and Referral Center leadership to facilitate smooth transitions for all potential patients through all potential service lines. This role will also work closely with supportive service departments to ensure Admission Team RNs are utilizing all potential resources including IPU placement or Crisis Care for new patients. The Clinical Manager - Admissions will also collaborate with all needed clinical departments to ensure specified admission visit needs are met.

This position requires a strong understanding of technology and will drive its use in the admissions – communication process, utilizing existing and driving future technology efficiency in our commitment to enhance the admission experience for our patients & families, referral partners, and our internal CCH peers.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements
Must have at least 5 years RN nursing experience in at least one of the following settings: medical/surgical, acute care, ICU, ER, oncology, home health or hospice.  A minimum of 3 years hospice nursing experience and 1 year of management experience is required.

 

Education Requirements
Must have a degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. A BSN degree is preferred.

 

Required Certificates and/or Licenses
Must have a licensed RN in at least one of the following: District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia.

 

Driver's License

Must have a driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
